Instead of spearheading a Euro-Mediterranean effort to out maneuver the dreadful US neocons, who are running US politics like a cult, the EU is confined to bankroll all the eccentricities of a failed US policy in the region, whose major aim is to bring all the ME people to submitting to the US/neocons-Israeli hegemony and controlling oil resources in the wake of the growing economic power of “Indo-China.” Controlling the oil resources is a strategic imperative of the ailing superpower.

Iran is planning to switch oil sales from the US$ to the Euro next October, which could trigger other oil producing countries to do the same! This move could put a lot of strain on the US$ (eroding its reserve value) and could boost the Euro in terms of increased trade, reserves, etc. The nuclear standoff with Iran is only a make up confrontation (Iran is far from developing any military nuclear capability) to reverse this decision: will the EU or more specifically the Euro-zone EU countries have cold feet and, against their interests, rally once again the neocons in terms of putting more pressure on Iran? The last time a country dared to switch to the Euro to sell its oil, i.e., Iraq, it was attacked and destroyed by the US/neocons and their subalterns under the false pretense of harboring WMDs and the seed of terror
