Badinter, Robert

Senator and President, OSCE Court of Conciliation and Arbitration

As president of the Court of Conciliation and Arbitration in the OSCE, has encouraged European states to use mediation and arbitration to peacefully settle conflicts between states. Has also been president of the Arbitration Commission for the former Yugoslavia (1992-95), member of the French Senate for nine years and minister of justice (1981-86). Has authored numerous articles and books on justice and law.
