This question was asked by former president Bill Clinton at the Club of Madrid’s Global Forum on Leadership for Shared Societies, in the city of Rotterdam, in order to demonstrate that social inclusion, shared societies and minority integration are such important issues for the safety of democracies.

It is increasingly difficult to ignore the fact that throughout Europe and the wider Western world, Islam is being turned into a police matter. Western governments are increasingly calling for new policies in order to manage the growing threat to social order that Islam appears to present.
